Tour Description
Step into a traditional workshop to explore the ancient craft of Armenian pottery, a practice that dates back thousands of years and reflects the country's deep connection to both artistry and daily life.
After an introduction to traditional techniques, you will begin by forming your own ceramic piece, either by hand or on a wheel, guided by a skilled local artisan. Once shaped, you will move into the decorative stage, where you will paint and embellish your work using patterns inspired by Armenian cultural motifs—ranging from geometric designs to symbols historically associated with protection, eternity, and nature.
Throughout the session, the artisan will share insights into how these motifs have been used across centuries in architecture, textiles, and everyday objects, giving your creation a deeper cultural context.
The experience is both creative and reflective, allowing you to produce a piece that is not only handmade, but also meaningful. You will leave with your own decorated ceramic work—a personal keepsake that connects craftsmanship with Armenian heritage.
